State of New Hampshire Strategic Plan to Address Cyber Crime - May 2004

Cyber crime, or more broadly, electronic crime, presents ongoing challenges to criminal justice organizations at all levels. Because of the borderless nature of electronic crimes such as identity theft, child pornography, and cyber attacks, criminal justice agencies must adapt their responses to meet this new threat.

The New Hampshire Department of Justice, through the leadership of the Attorney General, the State Police, local criminal justice organizations and other stakeholders developed the State’s first-ever Strategic Plan to Address Cyber Crime in early 2004. The Strategic Plan is a consensus-driven document with a clear mission and metrics for developing and gauging multi-year progress to deliver the highest level of public safety to the citizens of New Hampshire. A copy of the strategic plan is available for download here:

Working with its partners the Attorney General’s office is now implementing programs to address the priorities identified in the strategic plan.
